Three children suffered minor injuries when the private van that they take to school was involved in a traffic accident at SW 147th Ave. and Eureka Drive (SW 184th St.), school board police said. Details on the accident weren't immediately available. It wasn't immediately known if the children needed medical treatment, police said. Many Miami-Dade County parents pay for private, door-to-door van service to take their kids to school. -

Thirteen mentally disabled adults heading to a day of training and work were injured, along with their driver, when their van veered off a suburban Boca Raton road and slammed into a tree. Four of the 13 were in critical condition at Delray Medical Center and one was in serious condition, a nursing supervisor said. One victim was taken to St. Mary's Medical Center in West Palm Beach. -
