Florida Highway Patrol troopers are trying to identify a bicyclist killed in an accident Saturday afternoon, September 24.
Florida Highway Patrol troopers said that the male rider was struck by a car which did not stop at a red light at about 2 p.m. at Palm Coast Parkway's intersection with Colbert Lane, troopers said.
After the accident, the bicyclist who did not any identifying documents was taken by helicopter to Halifax Medical Center where he died.
Florida Highway Patrol Lieutenant L. M. Fleming said investigators are hoping that the public will be able to help shed light on the cyclist's identity.
The driver of the car, Kenneth J. Ray, 19, of Palm Coast, has not been charged in the accident pending an investigation.
