Woman Thrown From Car After Hitting Police Cruiser

A woman was thrown from her car when she rear-ended a marked police cruiser on U.S. 441, police said. The woman, whom police did not identify, was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital with a broken nose and other, more serious injuries.
The woman was driving north when she hit the Miami-Dade County police car as it was making a left on 199th Street at about 11 a.m., police said. The force of the crash threw the woman from her car. The officer, who was not identified, was not seriously injured.
