Pedestrian On Highway Killed By Car
August 5, 2005
A man walking south in the northbound center lane of Interstate 75 died after being struck by a Volkswagen Beetle, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Donald L. Desrochers, 29, of Bradenton, was walking south of State Road 674 at 3:50 a.m. when he was hit by the Volkswagen, driven by Fakeh O. Ahmed, 37, of Tampa, which was northbound. An investigation is continuing. No charges have been filed.
