Hit & Run Critically Injures Pedestrian

A 21-year-old man was critically injured after a vehicle struck him as he was crossing State Road 710 in Indiantown, Florida Highway Patrol officials reported.
The eastbound vehicle, which officials believe was white, fled the scene after hitting Ciro Morales at about 5:15 a.m. near Madison Avenue, according to an accident report. Because of the severity of Morales' injuries, highway patrol officials are investigating the accident as a potential traffic homicide, Lt. Tim Frith said. The report indicates the accident was alcohol-related.
