Undercover Hall County drug agents have arrested a Gainesville man, who will face drug and other charges.
Major Jeff Strickland says that agents with the Hall County Multi Agency Narcotics Squad (MANS) Unit were trying to arrest a drug dealer about 4:45 p.m. Firday afternoon, September 23, when the man fled in a car.
According to Major Strickland, the suspect attempted to run down two agents in the parking lot as he fled.
Major Strickland then says that agents chased him until he had a minor traffic accident at the corner of Pearl Nix Parkway and Dawsonville Highway, then on foot into the parking lot of Lakeshore Mall, where he was arrested.
Emanuel N. Goss, 26 year old, of East Dennis Drive, Gainesville,was finally arrested. Agents seized about a quarter pound of Marijuana.
He will be charged with 2 Counts of Aggravated Assault on a Police Officer, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, Felony Possession of Marijuana, Fleeing and Attempting to Elude, Reckless Driving, Leaving the Scene of an Accident and Obstruction.
Goss is being held in the Hall County Detention Center without bond.
