1 Killed, 1 Hurt In 2-vehicle Crash

One driver was killed and another was critically injured Sunday evening in a two-vehicle collision in Haines City.

According to Haines City police Officer Kevin Sweat, the accident between Buick and a Hyundai occurred at 7:10 p.m. at Polk City Road and Lake Brown Drive.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene, and one was flown by helicopter to Lakeland Regional Medical Center, Sweat said.

No further information was available Sunday night.
